     He was a truck driver for a motor company before 10 January 1920.⁶ He was an ice man who owned his own route before 18 May 1940.⁷

     Nellie May Armstrong was born on 10 January 1881 at Pineville, McDonald County, Missouri.¹ She married Samuel Allison Gurney on 7 July 1897 at Carthage, Jasper County, Missouri.^1,2 Nellie May Armstrong died on 28 July 1944 at Belton Cemetery, Kansas City, Jackson County, Missouri, at age 63.¹
     Her married name was Gurney.

     Bertha Maude Armstrong was born on 17 April 1888 at White Rock, Carroll County, Missouri.² She married Tura Gabriel Levene. Bertha Maude Armstrong died on 8 April 1963 at Hawthorne, Los Angeles County, California, at age 74.² She was buried on 11 April 1963 at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles County, California.³
     Her married name was Levene. She was a housekeeper for a private family before 9 April 1940.⁴ Bertha's maiden name was Coffee.⁵

     John Reeves was born on 10 September 1824 at Green County, Kentucky.^1,2,3,4,5,6 He married Rachel Harriet Morrison, daughter of James M Morrison and Nancy Bell, on 15 December 1851 at Osseold, Taylor County, Kentucky.^7,8 John Reeves married Sarah J Swigler, daughter of Joseph Srygler Jr and Sarah Sidebottom, on 29 July 1861 at Green County, Kentucky.⁷ John Reeves married Margaret White Lee, daughter of Jonathan John Lee and Sarah Brewer, on 10 June 1863 at the Jonathan Lee home, LaRue County, Kentucky.^9,10,11,1,12 John Reeves died on 21 December 1914 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, at age 90.^10,1 He was buried on 24 December 1914 at Central City Cemetery, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.^1,13
     He and Rachel Harriet Morrison were land transactors in the Taylor County KY, Deed Book 3, page 548. Indenture made 9 April 1858 by John and Rachel Reeves to John Wood for 90 3/4 acres on Little Brush Creek for sum of $350.00. Following the deed, Catherine Reeves signed a statement relinquishing all the interest in the dower of this piece of land on 9 April 1858. John Reeves and Catherine Perry were land transactors in the Taylor County KY, Deed book 4, page 197. John Reeves and Catherine Reeves, his mother, of Taylor County KY sold land to John Wood for sum of $350.00, this land was on Little Brush Creek, and contained 91 acres. Moss, Book 30, page 110, 10 acres, 100 poles, on Big Brush Creek. on 13 December 1878. He and Margaret White Lee moved to a farm NE of Central City, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, in 1887.      Her married name was Reeves. She and John Reeves were land transactors, Green County Index to Deeds, 1 Dec 1874, John Reeves and wife-Margaret W. to Thomas Coakley, Book 28, page 605, 17 acres on 1 December 1874. Margaret White Lee and John Reeves moved to a farm NE of Central City, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, in 1887. They continued residence on the farm until their death.⁹ Margaret White Lee and John Reeves were land transactors, Green County Index to Deeds, 5 Nov 1887, John Reeves and wife to Isham Reeves, Book 32, page 543. on 5 November 1887 at Green County, Kentucky.¹⁰ When but a young girl she united with the Baptist church and became a devout Christian.¹

     John Coakley Reeves was born on 5 January 1869 at Taylor County, Kentucky.^1,2,3,4,5 He married Helena Matilda Louise Troh on 27 April 1898 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.^1,2,3,6 John Coakley Reeves died on 30 August 1909 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, at age 40.^1,7,3 He was buried after 30 August 1909 at Central City Cemetery, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.⁸
     He was educated at rural District # 37, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.⁹ He and Helena Matilda Louise Troh moved to a farm 8 mile SW, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, in February 1898,the 35 mile move was made in an open wagon, on an extremely cold winter day, and Helena was pregnant with her first child. A new born calf, sheltered from the weather in one of the wagons, perished on the journey.¹⁰ John Coakley Reeves had all five of his children educated here at rural District # 39, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.⁹ He untimely death made transportation for the family very difficult. In the early years, all travel was by team and buggy or a spring wagon. For sisters Rose, eleven, and Olga, ten, to capture, harness, and stable the horses was an achievement. However by the time Ted was ten, he could handle horses and go to Chapman for supplies between 1909 and 1920 at farm 8 miles SW, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.⁹ He was in the process of building a large 60 by 60 foot barn. On August 30, on a trip to purchase building material in Chapman, he was struck by a Union Pacific train and instantly killed. After this, she chose to remain on the farm. Years of very hard work were experienced by this family as the children matured. Milking cows, corralling horses for trips for provisions, sawing wood by hand, carrying water some 60 feet into the house for bathing, cooking or laundry purposes...all these tasks were supervised by this courageous woman at a time when a woman alone found it hard to provide for a family at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.¹⁰

     Shively Lee Reeves was born on 15 March 1878 at Green County, Kentucky.^1,2,3,4 He was born about 1879.⁵ He married Lillie Josephine Rice on 10 January 1910 at Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska.^1,2,3 Shively Lee Reeves died on 13 November 1971 at home, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas, at age 93.^1,3,4 He was buried on 16 November 1971 at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka, Shawnee County, Kansas.³

     Grover Clevland Reeves was born on 19 August 1884 at Hodgenville, Larue County, Kentucky.^1,2,3,4 He married Anna Philomena Mcmahon, daughter of Peter Mcmahon and Mary Dennighen, on 27 October 1909 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.^1,2,3,5 Grover Clevland Reeves died on 27 April 1951 at Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, at age 66.^1,3,4 He was buried on 1 May 1951 at Central City Cemetery, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.³ He was buried at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.

     Fanny Empress Reeves was born on 20 March 1864 at Taylor County, Kentucky.^1,2,3,4 She married Pleasant P Gumm, son of Abraham Gumm and Frances Lee, on 3 October 1880 at Munfordville, Hart County, Kentucky.^1,2 Fanny Empress Reeves died on 6 June 1952 at age 88.^1,3 She was buried at Stockton, San Joaquin County, California.

     Lullie Emma Reeves was born on 10 January 1877 at Green County, Kentucky.^1,2,3 She married Elmer James Jewell, son of Alva Franklin Jewell and Mary Ann Wild, on 23 September 1896 at Fullerton, Nance County, Nebraska.¹ Lullie Emma Reeves died on 19 March 1961 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, at age 84.^4,2 She was buried on 23 March 1961 at Central City Cemetery, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.⁴
     She was also known as Lucille.⁵ She was affiliated with the Methodist church during her childhood before 1887.⁴ She was educated at a "subscription" school provided by the parents of the children who attended. Apparently, the school was social and cultural in nature ... she had some Latin, wrote well, had an excellent command of the language, and could quote long passages of classic literature.⁶ She was educated in rural district # 37 in Merrick County, where four generations of the family have attended school after 1887.⁴ Her married name was Jewell. She enjoyed landscaping around the farmhouse with shrubbery, formal and informal flower gardens, rock walls, and an original design lily pond.⁶ She also went by the name of Lu.

     Lillie Ethel Reeves was born on 18 May 1880 at Greensburg, Green County, Kentucky.^1,4,5,3 She married George Washington Rice on 20 February 1902 at Newman, Nance County, Nebraska.^1,4,6,7 Lillie Ethel Reeves died on 11 August 1964 at Oregon City, Clackamas, Orgeon, at age 84.³ She was buried at Mt. View Cemetery, Oregon City, Clackmas County, Oregon.³

     Robert Warren Lidstrom was born on 11 May 1921 at Crosby, Crow Wing County, Minnesota.^1,2 He married Betty Lou Armstrong, daughter of Roscoe Leonard Armstrong and Lullia Fern Reeves, on 20 September 1948. Robert Warren Lidstrom died on 23 November 1990 at Salishan Lodge, Gleneden Beach, Lincoln County, Oregon, at age 69.^1,2 He was cremated after 23 November 1990 at Salishan Spit, Gleneden Beach, Oregon.
     He graduated from 4 years of high school about June 1939.² He enlisted in the Warrant Officers, USA on 26 August 1942 at Tacoma, Pierce County, Washington.² He was discharged from military service on 6 December 1945.²

     Betty Lou Armstrong was born on 2 May 1928 at Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska.¹ She married Robert Warren Lidstrom on 20 September 1948. Betty Lou Armstrong died on 18 June 1992 at Portland, Clackamas County, Oregon, at age 64.¹ She was cremated after 18 June 1992 at Salishan Spit, Gleneden Beach, Oregon.
     Her married name was Lidstrom.

     Linda Marie Lidstrom was born on 27 February 1950 at Doctor's Hospital, Seattle, King County, Washington. She died on 12 July 1995 at Portland, Clackamas County, Oregon, at age 45.¹

     Alfred Thomas Everett was born on 6 September 1838 at Lewiston, Niagara County, New York.^1,2,3 He married an unknown person in 1855.⁴ He married Martha Millicent Phelps, daughter of Elnathan Phelps and Lucinda (__?__), in 1875 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin.¹ Alfred Thomas Everett died on 14 December 1918 at home of Mrs. Grant Reeves, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, at age 80.^1,5 He was buried on 15 December 1918 at Central City Cemetery, Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.¹
     He was land transactor on 10 March 1876 at General Land Office, Grand Island, Hall County, Nebraska, this is what the homestead certificate stated. The claim of Alfred T. Everett has been established and duly consummated in conformity to law, for the south half of the NW quater of section 28, in township 14 north of range five west. The application number was 2466.⁶ Since childhood he had been a faithful member and energetic worker in the Episcopal church.¹
