Later they put an addition on. This was their home until called in death.3 He was discharged from military service in 1918.5 Martin and Mary observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary, with fourteen of their fifteen children present for the occasion in 1931 at Ewing, Holt County, Nebraska.5 After his grandmother died, he was put in an orphanage until he was 16 years old.3
He immigrated in 1869 to Fountain City, Wisconsin.5,3 He was employed after 1871 at Winona, Minnesota, Martin followed the cobbler trade, found employment at a shoe shop in Winona Minnesota and later at LaCross, Wisconsin.3 He resided circa 1873 at Columbus, Platte County, Nebraska.3 He resided on 1882 at homestead 8 miles south of Ewing, Ewing, Holt County, Nebraska.5,3 He and Mary M Mayberger homesteaded in 1882 at 8 miles west, Clearwater, Holt County, Nebraska.6 Martin Walter resided in 1890 at Deloit Township, Clearwater, Antelope County, Nebraska, In the early ninties they built a two story frame house. Later they put an addition on. This was their home until called in death.3 He was discharged from military service in 1918.5 Martin and Mary observed their fifty-fifth wedding anniversary, with fourteen of their fifteen children present for the occasion in 1931 at Ewing, Holt County, Nebraska.5 After his grandmother died, he was put in an orphanage until he was 16 years old.3
