Catherine Perry was land transactor Taylor County KY, Deed Book 2 - pg 356, I Catherine Reeves widow and relict of John Reeves deceased, not being satisfied with the provisions made for me by the will of my late husband, do these presents declare that I will not take or accept the provisions made for me by such will or any part thereof and hereby renounce all benefit which I might claim by said will - 8th day August 1854. Catherine Reeves Witness: Aaron H. Dewitt and Robert Hillew on 8 August 1854. She was land transactor Taylor County KY Order Book 1, page 325. Monday 9th October 1854. The Commissioners appointed by this court at a former term to allot dower to Catherine Reeves, widow and relict of John Reeves, dec'd. on the estate of said decedent this day made a report of the same .. ordered to be recorded. on 9 October 1854. She also went by the name of Caty.4 She and John Reeves were land transactors in the Taylor County KY, Deed book 4, page 197. She resided in 1990 at Eastmont Towers, Lincoln, Nebraska.2 As of 9 March 1996, the address of Opal Marie Jewell was 6335 'O' St # 625, Lincoln, Lancaster County, Nebraska. Opal's hobbies are antiques, especially old buttons, and researching the genealogy of Loyd's and her families.3 Opal taught in elementary and secondary schools. She also served on the faculty of Chadron State College, was supervisor of elementary education at McCook, and was curriculum coordinator for Northwest High School district near Grand Island. In 1962 and 1963 Opal worked at the University of Nebraska on a Woods Foundation Fellowship assisting in writing the Project English curriculum which was widely used in Nebraska, and adopted by many schools in other states. She helped with presentation of the project at state and national meetings of various education groups. She had several articles published in educational magazines. When she retired she had devoted a total of 36 years to educational work.3

     Lloyd Lewis Peck was born on 23 October 1903 at Archer, Merrick County, Nebraska. He married Opal Marie Jewell, daughter of Elmer James Jewell and Lullie Emma Reeves, on 26 May 1949 at Manning, Carroll County, Iowa.2 Lloyd Lewis Peck died on 9 October 1973 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, at age 69.3,1 He was buried at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska.
     He trained as a "Remote Control Turret Mechanic" at Lowry Field, and returned to Omaha to work on the Enola Gay, the plane which carried the first atomic bomb. He also taught radio to adult classes at Technical High School during Word War II. Following the war he traveled as field service representative for Norge and RCA. In 1954 he established his business in Central City where he sold and serviced both television and electric motors. During the rapid growth of open-ditch irrigation he patented and manufactured SAV-A-CROP well controls with automatic restart.1 He enjoyed fishing, and antiques - especially old gasoline engines which he restored and displayed. before 9 October 1973.1
