     Lloyd Lewis Peck was born on 23 October 1903 at Archer, Merrick County, Nebraska. He trained as a "Remote Control Turret Mechanic" at Lowry Field, and returned to Omaha to work on the Enola Gay, the plane which carried the first atomic bomb. He also taught radio to adult classes at Technical High School during Word War II. Following the war he traveled as field service representative for Norge and RCA. In 1954 he established his business in Central City where he sold and serviced both television and electric motors. During the rapid growth of open-ditch irrigation he patented and manufactured SAV-A-CROP well controls with automatic restart.1 He died on 9 October 1973 at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska, at age 69.2,1 He was buried at Central City, Merrick County, Nebraska. He enjoyed fishing, and antiques - especially old gasoline engines which he restored and displayed.1
