     Anna Gokie was born in 1890.2 She married Philip Savidge, son of Martin Peter Savidge and Anna Tracy Mayberger, circa 1913.1 She retired from the telephone business after 57 years of service with the Ewing Telephone Company. Starting as an operator in Deloit when 14, she served in Ewing's first telephone offfice. With her husband, the late Phillip Savidge, she purchased the Ewing system and continued to operate it for sometime after his death. Mrs. Savidge recalls installing phone lines by herself.3 Anna Gokie died in 1969.2
