Lippold was employed between April 1940 and 1945 at Ochoco Drug Store, Prineville, Crook County, Oregon.3 He and Elizabeth Catherine Rupprecht moved to at Prineville, Crook County, Oregon, on 1 April 1940.3 Arthur J. Lippold purchased the Ochoco Drug Company, Prineville Drug Stores and Butler Drug between 1945 and 1947 at Prineville, Crook County, Oregon.3 He became ill with cancer in 1947 at Prineville, Crook County, Oregon. He died on 8 February 1948 at Prineville, Crook County, Oregon, at age 41.2,4 He was buried on 13 February 1948 at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Portland, Multnomah County, Oregon.3
