He was employed by Bourbon Stockyards Producers Assn. for many years, and remained semi-active, going daily to the stockyards until he reached 84 years of age. Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Scott Reeves; a son, Scott Reeves, Lexington; and 2 grandchildren.
